Chinese investors eyeing Sabah property market

Chinese investors are heading into the Sabah property market, said Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Shareda) President Datuk Susan Wong.

According to a report by the Daily Express, this was noted after Chinese government delegates visited Sabah.

The delegates were keen on learning about the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme and acknowledged that the area has a lot of investment opportunities. They were in Sabah to check on the upcoming preparations for the 3rd World Youth Congress of Jiangmen, which will be held in June 2012, as well as the Shareda PropEx 2011, which will highlight the best properties the state has to offer.

The Shareda PropEx 2011 will be headed by Shareda Council member Datuk Chong Hon Len.

Datuk Hajiji Noor, Minister of Local Government and Housing, has been invited to lead the opening ceremony on 1 October, while Assistant Minister Datuk Edward Yong will close the event the next day.
